Week 2- Jasmine

I am in Ohio visiting my family and I am staying with one of my family members that has a house built in the early 1900s. We had just got done watching As Above So Below ( I recommend it) and it was time to go to bed. I am 1, not used houses having attics and basements which bumped up the creep factor and 2, not used to doors having actual key holes. I could not go to sleep because I was jet lagged. So while doing homework a light turned on outside my door. Spoiler alert, the source of light was just a hall lamp on a timer, not a demon. However, I took this picture because I liked the light filtering through the cracks in the door and the key hole. It was also fitting the creepy vibes I got from the old, historic type house and the movie (which was about people entering the gates of hell). With the help of the sound surrounding me (attic creaking, wind blowing outside) I was fully curious enough to open my door and find that lamp with the timer. So I'm kind of disappointed because no ghost hunting for me. I will return to California in a few days unpossessed by our underworld friends.

  1. Oh how beautiful! I love old houses and the history in all those little details, just like this keyhole! So classic! Great commentary and storytelling behind the timing of the light coming on and the situation you found yourself in! It's definitely interesting to note that our current moods or what we've experienced in any given day definitely puts a spin on the way we view things! Same with theater audiences and performers! The room is so dark otherwise! I'm glad you are not possessed ;)

  2. I am afraid of old houses because I feel like those houses are haunted! The key hole on the door is so dramatic and scary. It's so cool to look at it on the blog like this, but I wouldn't have been able to fall asleep if I were you... I feel like something else is looking back at you behind the door.
