Week 4- Jasmine
This is my favorite blanket. It does not keep me warm and serves no purpose but to look nice on top of my bed. In low light (the left, when my blinds are closed) it looks super soft. When the intensity of light is greater (the right, when I allow sun to light my room) the "fur" is more defined and the contrast between light and shadow is really beautiful. I love fabric and lighting together they can create such beautiful surroundings. Seeing where the light hits is equally as fascinating as where the shadows are cast by the different folds. You can create a different texture with the same fabric just by changing the lighting and that's pretty cool to me. 👌
Very cool!!! It's really awesome when costume designers and lighting designers can collaborate and create some amazing work together! There are some dance numbers out there that rely heavily on the types of fabrics and colorful dresses mixed with lighting to create stunning pieces. It's nice to see these two images side by side too! Nice subtle detail! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThat blanket looks even more fluffy when the sunlight is lighting it up! I can't believe that it doesn't keep you warm.
