Week 10, Diana Herrera

It was a hot evening while driving home from school, so my sister and i decided to drive with the sun roof open. At a red light i turned to look at her and became astounded by the lighting composition lighting her. The warm street light was coming down on her through the roof while the red brake lights from the vehicle ahead highlighted her face. To see the warm and red lighting actually woke me up from my weariness. It's funny the way these two colors were able to symbolize, whether in a good or bad way, how warm of a night it was and how tired we truly were.

  1. Red tale light looks great on her face!

  2. ooooh cool! It's super neat to see a "model" being lit with very "theatrical" angles (like the downlight from the street and front light from the tail lights) but in a very real world setting! There's also such a strong feeling we all know too well when we're stuck in traffic and there's nothing but red tail lights up ahead in a busy bustling city where everyone seems to be moving except you stuck in the car. :) Nice!

  3. That looks so great! I love how the lighting makes her shining in the red/ pinkish color and how it represents the story of your night.
