Week 10 - Isabelle
I don't know why, but I always see lights I would like to upload on this blog when I'm walking down the streets in Glendale. And it's a sunset again, but it tells me another story and shows so much about making choices in Lighting Design.
I saw this nice sunset that lighted up the clouds in that beautiful red and orange colored light yesterday.
The structure and the way how the clouds are lightened (just from one side) makes them look like they're absorbed by the sun and because of the sun beams it seems like they're spread all over the sky. It almost seems like they're travelling with the sun.
It makes the sky more storytelling than it is anyway at anytime.
Usually clouds support sad emotions because you connect them to rain and cold days, but the color and the structure that is created by the sun makes me feel warm and comfortable. The sky looks deep and like it is never ending.
For me this picture is a great example of how one strong light from just one angle can build up strong emotions and stories and how the right color choice can change the way of your feelings and your story.

Lovely Isabelle! They look like cotton candy, light and airy! The pretty pink sky silhouettes the very classic palm tree and city scape beautifully!
